Der Taschman on Facebook

I’m extremely pleased to see that a young innocent fan that goes by the name of Daniel Kristensen, has done quite an effort for the good of the band/man. This little Israeli/Norwegian dude has made himself his very own Der Taschman facebook group. I’m ready to bless this group as the official Taschman group on facebook. I sincerely hope that all you loyal fans and readers out there will join as soon as you can, and also invite all your friends to join.

Hello again!!

I sincerely apologize for the lack of blogging on the blog lately. A lot of things have happened since the last time I posted something. And the shocking news I have got for the loyal readers and supporters of the band, will probably blow you guys the wrong way. First and foremost “Where the unicorns fly” is not entirely finished yet. We have laid down most of the vocals on the refrain and also some smashing guitar riffs, smooth bass lines and drums. But we felt it was not quite right. We have put the song on ice for the time being, and hopefully we’ll finish it sometime before June.
The reason for this perverse stalling is partly because our producer Thick Pubin went overseas to check out some new US acts.
Since Thick went to the US, Dj Tasta took a trip to the heart of Africa. The reason for her trip was to gather some inspiration for future music making. But in Africa or more specific Tanzania, she met an African Witchdoctor who she fell in love with. She is still in Africa, and she won’t come back to Europe under any circumstances.
Although Dj Tasta has left the band for pursuing her love to a third world doctor, fear not my good friends. I will continue to create and perform. I and Mr. Pubin are going to continue working on the Obsternazig material. And we are going in the studio sometimes this week to work on the song “Chinagirl”.
I don’t think Ill be continuing as a solo act for long, since a band is more badass. But I am not still sure how to manage this dreadful situation. Most likely I will use Thick Pubins side project “The Hollow Kids” for performing live. And in the studio I and Mr. Pubin will work the same way as we usually work. So rest assured this situation is just as bad as it looks like. But I am sure that when we step inside the studio this week, and invoke the magic powers of rock and roll, we’ll see trough it.

“Where the unicorns fly”

Today I have been working with our producer Thick Pubin on yet another Obsternazig tune. We spent hours in the studio today and managed to lay down about five tracks. Hopefully we will get to use all of them, but then again you never know. The song we are working on is called “where the unicorns fly”, and was inspired by an art exhibition my former band mate PK Money held a couple of years ago. From what I heard today it seems like this song is going to be more guitar based, compared with the orgasmic synth inferno “Apeshit”. The song may be finished in just a couple of weeks, if everything works out right. So stay tuned!

Apeshit is here!!! And also some plain good ol`news

Finally our web crew has managed to upload the new song apeshit to the site. They have also created a little slideshow video containing some pictures from the Deekay photo shoot. The video is also available on youtube, if you want to see it on a bigger screen just double click it.

The song is about turning on the off button on your brain; push your inner monkey forward into the light or eventually night. More specifically, rage on like a complete lunatic. No consequences just plain old balls, guts and spastic moves. It’s time to roar into the night like and aggressive mentally challenged ape. Its time you counter prove evolution with your behavior and this is your soundtrack. Just do it to it!!
On another note, we have sensed the sites ongoing popularity and felt the warmth from our fans. However if you look at the sites hits, there are way too few comments. It would be real nice to get some feedback on how you like the site, the posts and the music etc.
We also hope all you fans out there will add the youtube video to your favorites, and give us all those star things.
This week me and Thick Pubin are gonna try to get some work done in the studio. It’s another classic Obsternazig tune and it’s called “where the unicorns fly”. It will probably not be entirely done before a couple of week’s time, but were going to try to push it.

Update

I woke up today with a great load of pain, seems that my neck did not appreciate my killer stage moves. But we have been given great feedback from people who saw the gig, both yesterday backstage at the after party and today. So it is of course all worth while.
Today in between meeting fans who attended yesterdays gig, I have been working along with Dj Tasta and Thick Pubin at the studio. We have laid the final touch on “apeshit”, and it’s all done. I just played it for our manager Mr. Daniel Lieberman and he was ecstatic to say the least. We are also pushing our web crew to get us a decent virtual music player, so we conveniently can upload our songs to the site. This will hopefully become a reality within the next couple of days.

Live in Bergen (-belzen)

Not to long ago we went off stage to the sound of a standing ovation. The show was a success of the purest kind. We killed like never before and got the people in the audience to groove along although they had never heard the songs before.
A small minus tough is the fact that I had an intensely need to throw up, the catering we were delivered an hour before we went on stage didn’t really do me any good. It consisted of Mexican food and almost ruined both my body and soul to say the least.
Nevertheless we gave a monstrous performance consisting of musical magic that shock the brains of our audience in a genius way. They will forever be mentally marked by Dj Tasta und der Taschman.
On another note, Thick Pubin is currently mixing “Apeshit”. It will be finished literally any minute. And we will upload it to the site sometimes this week. Other exiting plans and plots are being worked out as I write this, so keep on following the blog.

Live gig NOW!!!

Not now as in right now. Is a little patience too much to ask?
Tomorrow we are going to play live at our school, and our management thinks that there will be approximately 100 people coming. It’s been a while since we have been on stage, but we are nevertheless ready to kick ass and taking names. We where asked to take the job this morning by our producer, who was eager to see and hear how the new material works live. The extremely short notice makes it impossible for us to deliver the show we would normally do. Mainly because it’s hard to get a big production like ours running in just a single day. However we hope to get some great lighting and great sound, although the pressing time limit.

Live gigs in eyesight

Last weekend I and Steve from Easy Living went to town. Deep into the night we met a group of people, who was great admirers of the band and of this blog. And the topic of live gigs came along. They were eager to get us to play on a couple of parties sometime before this summer. I got turned on by their suggestion, and have started working on some killer stage antics. Our management is also working towards a couple of other live shows so the future looks promising like never before. And we hope we can deliver some live rock & roll magic in the near future. For you people who aren’t able to get to our shows, we will try to upload videos, pictures and of course an eyewitness memo from yours truly.

Continuing legal issues and no studio time

The legal matters we informed or readers about earlier this week are still going on. And the cover song we are done mixing, will not appear on this site any time soon.
Another dull prospect is the fact that we haven’t been able to spend one single hour in the studio, probably since Friday. However we have been in dialogue with our producer Thick Pubin, and he assured us that the song “apeshit” (from the Obsternazig material) will be all finished in at most a couple of weeks. Thick also delivered us positive news regarding future recordings. So it looks like there might be more than just the one song in a couple of weeks. Anyways hope all you followers out there appreciate the blog and the pictures. Hopefully you will get some sweet ass sound as soon as possible.

We have got a new gadget on our page. And this magical gadget makes it possible for us to upload hot pictures of ourselves to the blog. Legal matters

Due to legal matters regarding the cover song we recently recorded. Our management and our lawyer Schlomo Gold are putting in some pretty big hours. So we can’t upload any music to our page just yet. However we are getting positive feedback from our staff, and assurance that these legal issues will be handled before the forthcoming weekend.

Studio update

This weekend our producer Thick Pubin has been working his buttocks off in the studio. We are finished doing a cover song, and on the great Obsternazig song “Apeshit” only some background vocals remains. We have also listened a great deal to the other Obsternazig material we are thinking about doing. So it seems that we are going to do a great deal of work in the studio this week as well. I and Thick played our new material for “Steve” from “Easy living” and he practically went apeshit over it. The “Apeshit” song sounds like awesome rock & roll magic of its purest kind. Both “Apeshit” and the cover song will hopefully be on this page for you to listen to, as soon as we can get ourselves a decent player on our page.

Visitor from the southland

This weekend I have been visited by none other than recording studio owner and fellow rock & roll entrepreneur Stian Fåland. “Steve” as I call him, plays the keyboard in the Christian rock & roll band “Easy Living”. Who released their debut album “The truth” almost two years ago on the indie label “Lucifer`s cabin”. Although taking it easy sleazy is on top of the weekend’s agenda. There might be some time to talk a little bit shop. I’m definitely going to play the raw tapes from our latest recordings, and of course discuss some marketing strategies.
From the forthcoming summer and into the future, Steve will probably become our new producer. Since were going to use his studio for future recordings. Creating musical magic back in our home town, also has the advantage of Steve`s brother Ariel Sharon. Ariel owns and runs his own production company, and is a personal friend of many years. So the future of the band currently looks so bright that you can almost smell it. Both music and pictures in motion is going to be made, and that makes Tasch a happy boy.

Dj Tasta Back from ski adventure holiday

Dj Tasta (or Dj Tasty, as she is called among our working class crew) is back from her skiing adventure, and ready for changing music history in the studio, behind the synth and of course behind the wheels of steel.
On the Norwegian mountain top, she got inspired as never before and has come up with some sweet ass melodies. She is confident that the new melodies will not only be musical gold, but also the popular cultural momentums of tomorrow.
I hope that in two weeks time were dun recording the Obsternazig material, and can move on to our other stuff. Our other stuff is more specific, some lyrics that are just lying around (!). And also the new tunes Dj Tasta “found” on her journey trough the Norwegian mountains or “Fjellheim” as we call it. But it really depends on when and where our current producer Thick Pubin, can push us in to his busy time schedule.

Photoshoot mit DeeKay

Greetings earthlings! 6th of February we did a photo shoot with the legendary Norwegian photographer and music video director DeeKay. The pictures came out über-sexy, to say the least. We have already posted some of the hottest pictures on the blog, and we are going to continue posting some even hotter ones. The professional photo shoot was a new experience for the band. Even tough it was cold standing outside in numerous European minus degrees; it became an incredible inspirational experience. Its fun to experiment! The pictures definitely show the raw social-political-intellectual power that Dj Tasta und Der Taschman possess, has loads of and aren’t afraid to use. We literally have loads of buckets.
And the buckets are full of it.

The origins of Mr. Taschman

As manager of Dj Tasta und Der Taschman, I feel it’s my responsibility to give all you readers out there on the world’s internet machines. Some background data on the band’s lead singer, namely Mr. Taschman. Who is this übermensch? What’s this marvelous giant of tension and unspent testosterone story? Who is Mr. Taschman or Kinky Fritzl as he is called without the make up? I will try to shed some light to these questions.

Der Taschman was born in the year 1984, just as George Orwell had foreseen it. Oddly as it may seem, he is a strictly heterosexual male of the Norwegian middleclass. He grew up somewhere in the southern parts of Norway, where he worked part time in his dads chicken grill. Winter became spring and little “Tasch” left his cozy little hometown, seeking worthy band members. The hunt became unsuccessful, and Tasch stranded in a dark town in the middle of Norway called Trondheim. After a few years after living partly on what people could spare and partly on his own body fluids, he finally found himself the ally he had been waiting for.

A bright light shined upon the city, the night “PK-money” and Tasch met. Together they formed the Rock & Roll band “OBSTERNAZIG”, witch was a fatal success. As the months and years went by, Obsternazig created rock & roll magic that was totally unheard off (in a good sense). But as you know every good thing comes to an end, and after a while Obsternazig was dissolved for undisclosed reasons.

After the amazing success of Obsternazig, people told Tasch that you can’t create musical magic like Obsternazig twice. But o`boy did little old Tasch prove them all wrong. When he after only a couple of months formed his next band Dj Tasta und Der Taschman. The new groundbreaking pop sound has put a big shock trough all the ten people who has heard it. And hopefully the music will continue on tickling people’s central nerve system for many years to come.

Hello dear followers!

This week ill be going to the studio alone and by myself, to create some pop magic. I hope to lay down a great load of awesome tracks. More specific all tracks on two songs, but synth and backing vocals witch I will leave to Dj Tasta, when she gets back from skiing vacation. Both the songs are old material from my other band OBSTERNAZIG. But they will probably come off as a whole lot different, when played by Dj Tasta und Der Taschman.

Welcome to the official blog of Dj Tasta und Der Taschman. Dj Tasta und Der Taschman is a band of brother and sister. We have been playing for years and years, and will hopefully continue doing so. We currently live on the Norwegian west coast, where we both attend Bildøy Bible School. Both of us dream of starting our very own religion after were dun here. So we are very glad.

But after all, this is the bands blog and we are therefore obligated to write and update you on the official news of Dj Tasta und der Taschman. And when there isn’t any news (There is always something) we just write what’s going down on campus.
